There Are No Obligations Here
Reminder: There are no obligations here.
We all have obligations in life like bills that need to be paid. I mean, we don’t have to pay bills… we get to pay them so that we continue enjoying wherever we live.
But that’s not what I’m talking about here. I’m referring to implied societal obligations.
This is a reminder that you are not obligated to follow or interact with any person on social media.
You get to choose what you consume: food, drink, entertainment, social media, etc. Every time you intentionally shift what/how/when you consume something, you make your life a little bit better.
The energy of obligation feels gross and I don’t want any part of it. If you don’t want to be somewhere and you have a choice in the matter, then don’t force yourself to be. I would much rather interact with one person who is really into what I’m sharing than 100 people who are interacting out of an implied obligation.
If you don’t like what you’re experiencing through someone’s social media, opt out. Don’t worry about upsetting or disappointing someone. I support you in doing what you need to do for yourself, for your own time, energy, well-being, and peace of mind—even if that means unfollowing me.
There are no obligations here.
I wish you the absolute best, no matter how you respond to this post.
